Cumberland Sausage and Mash with Onion Gravy

171

There’s nothing quite like Cumberland sausage and mash with onion gravy to bring everyone to the table. This hearty, comforting dish has been a family favorite for years, perfect for Sunday dinners or those cozy weeknights when you need a little extra warmth. The creamy mash paired with the rich, flavorful onion gravy makes all the difference, it’s comfort food at its absolute finest.

In our house, sausage and mash is more than just a meal; it’s a tradition. My children love it, and when plated up with care, it’s even impressive enough to serve to guests. And that gravy? Let’s just say my husband often asks for a bowl of it on its own — it’s that good!

A quick note before we jump to the recipe: I am currently based in the USA and could not get rounds of Cumberland sausage, so I just used regular pork sausages. Rest assured, the result is still every bit as delicious.
