If there’s one dessert that never fails to impress, it’s a classic apple tart. The beauty of this glazed apple tart is in its simplicity – layers of sweet Honeycrisp apples fanned out over buttery puff pastry, baked until golden and crisp, then brushed with a glossy apricot glaze that makes it shimmer. It looks like something straight out of a bakery window, yet it couldn’t be easier to make at home.
The magic lies in those Honeycrisp apples. They bake up tender yet still hold their shape, with just the right balance of sweetness and tartness. When paired with a flaky puff pastry and a touch of melted butter and sugar, the result is pure perfection – golden, crisp, and caramelized in all the right places. The warm apricot glaze adds that final touch of shine and flavor, giving the tart a light fruity sweetness that elevates every bite.
This is one of those recipes that fits any occasion. Serve it warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream melting over the top or a dollop of Cool Whip for a cozy fall dessert, or enjoy it cold with your morning coffee for a little indulgence. It’s a beautiful way to use seasonal apples and a fantastic shortcut dessert when you need something quick yet impressive..
Even better, it fills your kitchen with that irresistible scent of baked apples and butter – the kind of smell that draws everyone in before it even leaves the oven. It’s simple, satisfying, and absolutely delicious.
So, grab a few apples and some puff pastry, and in under an hour, you’ll have a dessert that looks like it came straight from a patisserie.
