Coffee continues to be a booming market and there are more and more new and innovative versions coming out every season. My son always sticks to an ices mocha so I thought I would broaden his horizons with this frozen malt ball mocha – and he was impressed!
Malt Ball Frozen Mocha
Equipment
- Tall serving glasses
- Spoon
Ingredients
- 1 cup of milk chocolate malt balls about 150g
- 2 cups of cold milk 480ml
- 2 cups of ice about 280g
- ½ cup of chocolate syrup 120ml
- 4 shots of espresso
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
- Whipped cream for topping
- Chocolate sauce for drizzling
Instructions
- Place the milk, coffee, vanilla extract, chocolate syrup, ice, and two-thirds of the malt balls into a blender and blend until thick and smooth.
- Drizzle chocolate sauce inside the serving glasses, then pour in the frozen mocha mixture.
- Top with a generous dollop of whipped cream, the remaining malt balls, and some extra chocolate drizzle.
