Nachos is perfect for sharing with friends or during a cinema at home. try this easy nachos recipe with a guacamole and cheese sauce. Here at home my daughter loves cheese sauce and my son guacamole sauce
Equipment
Ingredients
- 1 large bag of tortilla chips
- Handful of grated cheddar
For the cheese sauce:
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1½ cup of medium hard cheddar
- ¼ tsp salt
- Dash of hot sauce or ¼ tsp chilli powder
For the guacamole sauce:
- 1 large ripe tomato
- 3 ripe avocados
- 1 lemon juice
- 1 small red onion
- 1 small red chilli
- Handful of chopped coriander
Instructions
For the cheese sauce:
- Add the butter and flour to the pan and heat until the butter melts. Stir over the heat for one minute until bubbly.
- Whisk the milk into the flour and butter and then turn up the heat until the milk comes to a simmer. Continue stirring until the sauce thickens and coats the back of a spoon.
- Stir in the grated cheddar and stir until melted.Add a splash of hot sauce. And salt. If the sauce is too thick add another splash of milk.
Notes
Optional: Serve the nachos with the sauces and some cooked crispy bacon and grated cheese sprinkled on top.
Tip: If not serving immediately, place into a bowl, place a stone from one of the avocados in the middle and cover with cling film.
