Sweet Shortcut

Nutella and pastry are a wonderful combination. This is a shortcut recipe that still looks and tastes amazing. Quick and easy – it’s a yes from me!

Sometimes the simplest desserts bring the biggest smiles – and these Easy Nutella Hand Pies are proof of that. Just one bite of that buttery, flaky puff pastry filled with warm, gooey Nutella and you’ll know you’ve found your new favorite quick treat. This recipe is my go-to when I need something sweet and impressive but don’t have time for anything complicated. Trust me, no one will ever guess how little effort it takes to make these look and taste so good!

The secret is all in the shortcut: frozen puff pastry. It bakes up perfectly golden and crisp, giving that lovely bakery-style crunch without the hassle of making pastry from scratch. And let’s be honest, once you add Nutella to the mix, you’ve already won. That smooth hazelnut chocolate spread melts into the pastry as it bakes, creating a filling that’s rich, velvety, and utterly irresistible.
Once baked, a simple drizzle of sweet icing adds the final touch – a glossy finish that makes these hand pies look like something straight from a patisserie window. You can serve them warm for that melt-in-your-mouth center or let them cool slightly if you prefer a neater bite. They’re wonderful with coffee in the morning, as an afternoon pick-me-up, or even for dessert after dinner.

I love making these for guests because they always disappear fast. You can also customize them by adding sliced strawberries or a little peanut butter for a fun twist. They’re one of those recipes that prove baking doesn’t have to be complicated to be delicious – and that’s exactly why they’ve become a regular in my kitchen.

So next time that craving for something sweet hits, grab your puff pastry and Nutella and whip up a batch. They’re golden, gooey, and gone before you know it – the perfect comfort food fix for any day of the week.
